The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) was founded May 2009. It is an accredited body by Fifpro the worldwide representative of all professional players and a member of Africa division. As the exclusive representative of players both home and abroad, it is affiliated to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro). THE PFAG exists to work in the interest of professional footballers and towards the advancement of the professional game in Ghana.

The PFAG seeks to build a strong bond among players, sustaining and protecting their interests throughout their playing time and beyond the footballing career. The PFAG provides a platform to build partnership among all sectors of the football community, including efficient and effective football bodies and to ensure that all stakeholders act I unison for the common good of the association in improving the lives of members and the development of sport in the country.
